Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to BareMind, the mind mapping application published by LiteStep. It explains how BareMind handles information created in the app.
Local-first storage
BareMind stores maps in an on-device library by default. Map data can include map titles, node names, notes, colors, ordering, and links. LiteStep does not receive this content.
Optional private iCloud Sync
If you choose to enable iCloud Sync, BareMind stores your maps, node names, notes, colors, ordering, and links in your private iCloud account so your own devices can stay in sync. This data uses your iCloud storage and is not publicly shared. BareMind uses the Apple Account already signed in on your device and does not create a separate BareMind account.
No tracking or advertising
BareMind does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, third-party SDKs, public sharing, or collaboration. BareMind does not sell, rent, or use your map content for advertising or profiling.
Imports and exports
When you choose to import or export a map, you select the file and destination. BareMind does not send that content to LiteStep. Imported maps only join your private iCloud Sync if you have enabled it.
Retention and deletion
Maps remain in the local library until you delete them from BareMind or remove the app. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time. BareMind also provides a separate confirmed action to remove its private iCloud copies while leaving the maps on that device intact.
